Wildcats own state’s second best GPA / Volleyball

The Oak Harbor High School volleyball team was eliminated from the playoffs Thursday, but the Wildcats are still one of the best teams in the state — academically.

The Wildcats finished second to Kelso for the 3A volleyball scholastic award. Oak Harbor’s 10 varsity players own a team grade-point-average of 3.801. Kelso registered a 3.84.

Seniors Julie Jansen and Lauren May and junior Andrea Ruben each boast GPAs of 4.0.

Juniors Hailee Blau, Samantha Hines and Kristina Tirado; sophomores Ceirra Dean, Camryn Bristow and Camden Miller; and freshman Leielle Salinger all have a 3.5 GPA or above.
