Wildcats finish 4th again / Boys golf

The Oak Harbor High School boys golf team found itself in a familiar spot in this week’s Wesco North match, fourth place.

The Wildcats were fourth out of seven teams at Arlington’s Gleneagle Golf Course Monday, April 30.

Oak Harbor has placed fourth in all but one conference match this spring.

Everett won Monday with 369 strokes on the par-70 course. Arlington tallied 397, Snohomish 410, Oak Harbor 450 and Marysville Getchell 526. Marysville-Pilchuck and Stanwood did not qualify for a team score.

Arlington’s Cody Oakes led the field of 37 with a two-under 68.

Oak Harbor’s Nick Krantz finished fifth with a 75. Haven Brown shot 85, Nick Whitley 92, Wyatt Bright 92, Billy Titzkowski 106 and Nate Thompson 107.

Krantz will represent Oak Harbor at the Egbers Invitational at the Skagit Valley Golf and Country Club at 8 a.m. Friday, May 4.

Oak Harbor completes the regular season with a non-league match at Stanwood’s Kayak Point Golf Course at 3 p.m. Monday, May 7.
