MJ Timm was the only Oak Harbor High School tennis player to survive the loser-out, first round of the Wesco North tournament Tuesday, May 8, in Arlington.

Timm defeated Megham Zimmerman of Marysville Getchell 6-4, 6-2 in the first round, then lost to Melody Bernhart of Everett 6-2, 6-1.

In a match started Tuesday and finished Wednesday, Timm lost to Lucy Cunningham of Stanwood 7-6(3), 3-6, 6-3 and was eliminated.

Other Oak Harbor results:

Singles: Emma Wezeman lost 4-6, 6-2, 6-2.

Doubles: Sierra Brackeen/Taliah Black lost 6-1, 6-2; Johanna Schmidt/Danielle Lonborg lost 6-0, 6-1.
