Wildcats earn Wesco win / Tennis

Picking up its second Wesco win of the season, the Oak Harbor High School tennis team clipped visiting Marysville-Pilchuck 4-3 Thursday, Sept. 21.

The Wildcats collected three of their four points in singles with wins by Nathanael Thompson (6-4, 6-4), Claude Thrailkill (6-0, 6-4) and Ryan Mene (6-4, 6-2).

Edison Soliman and Nick Krantz were winners in third doubles 6-2, 6-2.

John Bird lost in second singles 6-2, 6-0; Trenton Cone and Jhaylan Munger fell in first doubles 6-2, 4-7, 7-5; and Ridgely Briddell and Sam Peek were blanked in second doubles 6-0, 6-0.

Oak Harbor (2-4, 3-6) journeys to Shorecrest (5-2) for a 3:30 p.m. contest Monday, Sept. 25.
