The Oak Harbor High School swim and dive team closed out the regular season by dropping both ends of a double-dual meet at the Snohomish Aquatic Center Tuesday, Oct. 16.
The Wildcats lost to host Snohomish 141-31 and to Monroe 115-47.
Oak Harbor returns to Snohomish for the district meet Oct. 31, Nov. 2 and Nov. 4.
The junior varsity championship, which is a last-chance qualifier for the district meet, is 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, at Marysville-Pilchuck High School.
In the double-dual meet Tuesday, the best finish for the Wildcats was earned by Kelly Gruenwald, who placed second in diving (131).
Oak Harbor recorded its strongest showing in the 100-yard backstroke where Caitlin Dennen, Frances Empinado and Meagan Kunze finished 3-4-8.
