Wildcats drop final match / Tennis

The Oak Harbor High School tennis team rounded out the 2017 regular season with a 4-3 loss at Marysville-Pilchuck Monday, Oct. 9.

The Wildcats finished in sixth place in the Wesco North with a 3-9 record, 4-12 overall.

Oak Harbor will send six players to divisional tournament in Snohomish at 1 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, Oct. 17 and 18.

Oak Harbor results at Marysville-Pilchuck

Singles: 1, Nathanael Thompson won, 7-6(7), 6-2; 2, John Bird lost 6-0, 6-1; 3, Nick Krantz lost 7-5, 1-6, 6-1; 4, Claude Thrailkill won 6-2, 6-1.

Doubles: 1, Trenton Cone/Ryan Mene lost 7-6(5), 6-1; 2, Jhaylan Munger/Ethan Wilson lost 7—6(6), 7-5; 3, Ridgely Briddell/Mason Rhodes won 6-4, 6-1.
