Wildcats capture 10 firsts / Track

Oak Harbor High School earned 10 first places in a three-team track meet Thursday, April 19, at Wildcat Memorial Stadium.

The Oak Harbor boys defeated Marysville-Pilchuck 96.33-48.66 and lost to Arlington 92-53.

The Wildcat girls topped M-P 101-49 and fell to the Eagles 108-41.

Ozell Jackson led the Wildcats with a pair of wins, taking the high jump (6) and triple jump (39-09).

Andrew Miller took part in two winning events, capturing the long jump (20-10) and 4×100 relay (44.23) with Taeson Hardin, Dorian Hardin and Jeff Gordon.

Mac Nuanez took the 400 (52.07) and Gabriel Daggett won the 110 high hurdles (17.36).

The Wildcat girls grabbed four firsts: Amaya Rittierodt (200, 27.77), Courtney VanGiesen (400, 1:04.04), Lydia Dorsey (javelin, 124) and Alex Smith (3,200, 11:57.49).

Oak Harbor entertains Stanwood at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, April 26.
