Wildcats begin season with strong start / Girls wrestling

Four Wildcats won both their matches as the Oak Harbor High School girls wrestling team opened its season at the Bellingham scramble Wednesday, Dec. 5.

In all, Oak Harbor won 11 of 17 bouts.

Ella Erikson (115 pounds), Grace Chargualaf (145), Diandra Dominguez (155) and Hannah Shinn (235) each collected two wins at Bellingham. Adelina Lopez (120), Taylor Cress (125) and Abigail Correa-Cruz (140) also picked up wins.

The Wildcats’ only home match is next, when Oak Harbor hosts a scramble at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12.
