Wildcats 5th at PanCan Tournament / Wrestling

The Oak Harbor High School wrestling team placed fifth out of eight schools at the PanCan Tournament Saturday, Jan. 20, at Renton’s Hazen High School.

Bonney Lake, ranked second in the state 3A poll, captured the team title, followed by Decatur, Quincy, Hazen, Oak Harbor, Liberty, Skyline and Highline.

(Individual results have not yet been provided; they will be added when received.)

Hazen coach Rory Magana, an Oak Harbor graduate, started the PanCan event to raise awareness about pancreatic cancer, which claimed the life of his father Rod Magana, a longtime Oak Harbor resident.
