Wildcat pair compete at Dolan Invitational / Boys golf

Two Oak Harbor High School golfers placed in the middle of the field at the Tom Dolan Invitational Monday, April 10, at the Everett Golf and Country Club.

Wildcats Nick Krantz and Nick Whitley tied for 61st out of 101 golfers with scores of 92.

Kamiak’s Alvin Kwak took medalist honors with a 69.

Oak Harbor coach David Smith said the weather was “crazy bad,” with high winds and heavy rain.

Whitley was able to sink a 35-foot putt when “the wind and rain were at their strongest,” Smith said.

Oak Harbor, Glacier Peak and Marysville Getchell join host South Whidbey at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 12, at the Useless Bay Golf Club for a non-league match.
