Storm slip by Wildcats in play-in match / Volleyball

The Oak Harbor High School volleyball team was ousted from postseason play with a 3-1 loss to visiting Squalicum Saturday, Oct. 28.

The Storm (13-3), ranked eighth in the state 3A poll, squeaked by unranked Oak Harbor 25-21, 25-23, 24-26, 25-16 in a loser-out, district play-in match. The win put Squalicum in the eight-team, double-elimination portion of the District 1 tournament.

The Wildcats finished the year with an 8-7 record.

Hailee Blau drilled 18 kills and recorded seven digs. Cami Bristow collected nine kills, two aces and 18 digs, while Ceirra Dean finished with 13 digs and three aces. Andrea Ruben handed out 25 assists.
