Seagulls no-hit Oak Harbor / Softball

The Oak Harbor High School softball team found itself on the wrong end of a no-hitter Friday, March 16.

Two Everett pitchers combined for the five-inning no-hitter in the Seagulls’ 18-0 win in Oak Harbor.

Kassidy Miller tossed the first three innings, faced the minimum number of hitters and struck out six. Andrea Hedington fanned four in her two innings of work.

Three Oak Harbor batters reached base: Eleanor Tucker walked and got aboard on an error, Rylee Joseph walked and Miranda Wilson was hit by a pitch.

While not much went right for Oak Harbor, coach Tashina Tosh liked how captain Brooke Wilson and the seniors tried to keep the team’s spirits up throughout the game.

Oak Harbor (0-1, 0-2) hosts Snohomish (1-0, 2-1) at 4 p.m. Monday, March 19.
