Scots take down Oak Harbor / Soccer

For the second time this week, the Oak Harbor High School soccer team lost 5-0 at home. The latest set back came against Shorecrest Thursday, Sept. 13.

Oak Harbor (0-3, 0-3-1) will try to get on the winning track when its hosts South Whidbey (2-1) in a non-league match at 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15.

Five different girls scored for Shorecrest (2-0-1, 3-0-2), which built a 2-0 halftime lead.

“Rough game,” Oak Harbor coach Mike Lonborg said. “Shorecrest took advantage of our mistakes and didn’t make many.”

One highlight for the Wildcats, Lonborg said, was the effort of Chloe Wallace, who “played well the entire game.”
