Roberts sets record, Smith wins twice at Cashmere / Track

Lindsey Roberts’ school record and Jacob Smith’s two wins highlighted the work of the Coupeville High School track team at the Cashmere Invitational Saturday, April 14.

As a team, the Wolves finished fourth in the boys standings and seventh in the girls in the 15-team meet.

Roberts, a junior, won the 100 hurdles in 15.82, lowering her own school mark of 15.97.

Smith, a senior, won the 100 (11.32) and 200 (23.26).

Danny Conlisk collected the only other Coupeville first by winning the 400 (51.97).

Cashmere won the boys meet with 82 points; Coupeville tallied 57. Okanogan took the girls title with 95 points; the Wolves had 28.

Next up for Coupeville is a trip to Sequim at 3:20 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, when the Wolves compete in a four-team meet along with North Kitsap and Olympic.
