Portland races by Wolves / 15U Baseball

Host Portland scored early and often on the way to defeating Coupeville 17-1 in five innings at the regional 15U Babe Ruth baseball tournament Tuesday, July 24, at David Douglas High School.

Coupeville, now 0-2 in pool play, meets South Washington at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 26.

In Tuesday’s game, Portland scored four runs in the first inning, two in the second, four in the third and seven in the fourth to roll to the win.

Daniel Olson walked and scored Coupeville’s only run in the fourth inning on Andrew Score’s triple.

Cody Roberts walked in the third inning for the Wolves’ only other base runner.
