North Whidbey Aquatic Club’s Jillian Pape established some of the club’s best all-time marks at the Speedo Western Senior Sectionals March 17-19 in Federal Way.

The meet featured swimmers from the Western United States, including Hawaii, Colorado, Arizona and New Mexico. Some events had as many as 160 participants.

Pape competed in four events and set personal bests in each. Her best finish was 46th in the 50-yard freestyle.

Pape’s time in the 50, 24.33, is second-best all-time for NWAC female swimmers.

Her times in the 100 free (53.6) and 200 butterfly (2:09.66) are fourth all-time for NWAC females.

Four Blue Heron will compete in the Age Group Regionals this weekend.
