Oak Harbor stops North Whidbey in final game / Middle school boys basketball

The Oak Harbor Middle School seventh- and eighth-grade varsity boys basketball teams defeated crosstown rival North Whidbey Tuesday, Jan. 31.

This was the final boys basketball contest between the schools before their reconfiguration.

Next school year, Oak Harbor will become an intermediate school with fifth- and sixth-graders, while North Whidbey will house seventh- and eighth-graders.

In Tuesday’s finale, Oak Harbor Middle School won both games. The Panther seventh-graders took their contest 58-28, while the OHMS eighth-graders won 49-26.
