Oak Harbor splits dual meet / Swimming

The Oak Harbor High School swim team picked up one win in a double-dual meet at the Arne Hanna Aquatic Center in Bellingham Thursday, Jan. 12.

The Wildcats defeated host Squalicum 105.5-70.5 and lost to Cascade 99-84.

Top times recorded by Oak Harbor came from Bruce Vagt (200-yard freestyle, 2:00.76) and Enrique Perez (200 individual medley, 2:15.9) in individual events, and from the 200 medley relay (Vagt, Kenneth Morrow, Perez, Andrew Franssen, 1:51.88) and the 200 freestyle relay (Perez, Morrow, Franssen, Jose Cabigting, 1:40.53).

The Wildcats (4-5) meet Mount Vernon (4-2) and Shorecrest (5-2) at the Shoreline Pool at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19.
