Oak Harbor runs record to 5-0 / Volleyball

Remaining perfect in league play, the Oak Harbor High School volleyball team pushed past visiting Edmonds-Woodway 3-1 Thursday, Sept. 26.

The Wildcats are now 5-0 for the season; the Warriors fell to 1-3 in Wesco action and 2-3 overall.

Oak Harbor cruised to a 25-14 win in the first game, then the competition heated up. The Wildcats edged the Warriors 25-23 in the second set, then Edmonds-Woodway collected a 25-22 win in the third.

Oak Harbor put the match away by winning the fourth game 25-18.

Morgan Pease collected 14 kills and 14 digs for the Wildcats, while Leielle Salinger had 10 kills, nine digs and three blocks.

Jasmine Ford added five kills and five blocks, and Gredina DeGuzman had 16 digs and three aces.

Annie Salinger put up 31 assists, and Jaslin Webster finished with 13 digs.

Oak Harbor heads to Archbishop Murphy (3-2, 3-3) for a 7 p.m. match Tuesday, Oct. 1.
