Oak Harbor pair win state titles / Youth bowling

Two junior bowlers from Oak Harbor won their respective divisions in the Washington state championship tournament earlier this month.

Kedrick Cockrell won the U8 division while Victorya White captured the U15 division at the Washington State Pepsi Finals at Triangle Bowl in Longview May 11.

The pair qualified for the state tournament by placing in the top half of the Western Washington Regional March 9. Cockrell finished second and White 10th at Daffodil Bowl in Puyallup to earn a berth in the state finals.

White will compete in the national Junior Gold tournament July 13-20 in Detroit. She placed 12th in the tournament last year in Dallas.
