Oak Harbor in third after first day of divisional meet / Track

After the first day of the Wesco North Divisional Championships at Wildcat Memorial Stadium, the Oak Harbor High School boys and girls track teams both sit in third place.

Finals were held in four boys and six girls events Wednesday; the meet will conclude Friday, May 12, in Oak Harbor with field events beginning at 5:30 p.m. and running events shortly after.

Unlike other Oak Harbor home meets, admission will be charged for the divisional championships: $6 for adults and $3 for students with ASB cards and senior citizens.

The top seven in each event qualify for the district meet Wednesday and Friday, May 17 and 19, at Shoreline Stadium. The marks of the eighth- and ninth-place finishers will be compared to the results of the South divisional meet to determine two more qualifiers.
