Oak Harbor drops 4 games at weekend tournament / U18 baseball

After winning all four of its games and a tournament title the previous weekend, the Oak Harbor High School summer baseball team had the opposite result at the 32-team #EarnIt Tournament June 22-24.

The Wildcats dropped four games and saw their record fall to 6-10.

The Seattle Wave used a six-run second inning to jet by Oak Harbor 8-4 Friday, June 22, at Seattle’s Lower Woodland Park.

Donny Kloewer powered the Oak Harbor offense with a double and triple, driving in one run and scoring two.

Thomas Anderson and Kyto Morrow added RBI singles; and Andrew Dixon, Joseph Dixon and Caleb Fitzgerald all singled.

Later that evening, the Wildcats lost 8-1 to the Boys of Summer.

Chase Ogden rapped a double and single, Kloewer singled twice and Austin Boesch had a base hit.

The Northwest Prospects Academy Tugs defeated Oak Harbor 6-4 Saturday at Bellarmine Prep.
