Everett 53, Oak Harbor 28

The Seagulls led by only 3, 12-9, after the first quarter, but used a cascade of turnovers and cold shooting by Oak Harbor to start the second period on an 11-0 run on the way to a 31-13 halftime lead.

Jasmine Ford scored 7 points in the third quarter and Oak Harbor outscored Everett 9-8, but it wasn’t nearly enough to get the Wildcats back in the game.

Peyton Parks led Oak Harbor in scoring with 12 points, Ford had 9, Miranda Wilson 5, Mikhaela Cortez 1 and Sarah Mensah 1.

“We got a lot of good looks, but the ball wouldn’t go in,” Oak Harbor coach Jon Atkins said. “We did well against their press; our press break is improving.”

Freshmen Ella Sylvester and Emma Larson led Everett (3-8, 8-9) with 18 and 15 points.
