North Whidbey finishes third in state tournament / Junior baseball

The state tournament run for the North Whidbey Little League junior (13/14) baseball team ended with an 11-1 loss to South Snohomish Tuesday, July 18, at Shorewood High School.

North Whidbey finished in third place.

South Snohomish scored in every inning to steadily pull away.

North Whidbey, meanwhile, sputtered on offense, getting only one hit.

North Whidbey’s lone run came in the fourth inning when Dylan Dearing walked, stole second and scored on Tyler Zenger’s base hit.
