North Whidbey battles Mount Vernon / Middle school wrestling

North Whidbey Middle School faced the combined wrestling team of Mount Vernon’s LaVenture and Mount Baker middle schools in Oak Harbor Wednesday, Feb. 28.

The squads squared off in 58 different matches with the Cougars winning 28. Photographer John Fisken was there to record the action; attached are some of his shots.

The next match for North Whidbey is at home at 3:45 p.m. Wednesday, March 7, against Concrete, Darrington and La Conner.
