The Mount Vernon High School tennis team edged visiting Oak Harbor 4-3 Friday, March 16.

Two of the Wildcats’ wins came in singles. Emma Wezeman rolled to a 6-3, 6-1 victory in second singles, while Elaine Aguirre eked out a 5-7, 6-3, 1-0(9) win in fourth singles.

Elica Atienza and Jasmine Schultz teamed up to win third doubles 6-4, 6-4.

Oak Harbor (0-2) goes to Mountlake Terrace (0-2) at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 21.
