Mount Vernon defeats Wildcats / Swim and dive

Mount Vernon won every event on the way to defeating the Oak Harbor High School swim team 129-30 Thursday, Sept. 13.

Caitlin Dennen (200 freestyle, 2:23.62; 100 breaststroke, 1:28.1) and Di Dominguez (100 butterfly, 1:35.23) earned the best finishes by the Wildcats by placing second in their events.

Oak Harbor (1-2) goes to West Coast Aquatics in Mill Creek to face Archbishop Murphy at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18.
