M-P sneaks by Oak Harbor / Tennis

Wrapping up a rough week, the Oak Harbor High School tennis team dropped its third match in three days when it lost 4-3 to visiting Marysville-Pilchuck Thursday, Sept. 26.

The Wildcats beat the Tomahawks 5-2 in a road non-conference match Sept. 18.

All three of Oak Harbor’s points Thursday came in second through fourth singles: Micah Franklin won 6-4, 6-4; Ezra Franklin won 6-2, 6-1; and Ridgely Briddell won 6-0, 6-0.

Nick Krantz was edged in first singles 6-3, 7-6(7-4).

The Wildcats dropped all three doubles matches: Samuel Peek and Ethan Snell lost 6-4, 6-1; Ben Servatius and Jerome Dones lost 6-1, 6-0; and Kyle Brown and Lawrence Javelo lost 6-1, 6-2.

Oak Harbor (0-3, 2-4) plays Everett (0-2, 2-4) at Clark Park at 3 p.m. Monday, Sept. 30.
