“North Whidbey Aquatic Club member Missy McIntyre is one of 12 girl swimmers representing the Pacific Northwest Swimming in the 13-14 age category at the 2000 Western Zone Championships, currently underway in Fresno, Calif. There are teams from 13 Western states competing. McIntyre, in her first competition as a 13 year old, automatically qualified for the PNS team by swimming a personal best in the 100 meter breaststroke (1:17.38) in last month’s Senior Regional Swimming Championships in Federal Way.
