League leaders blank ‘Cats / Tennis

The Snohomish High School tennis team stayed unbeaten by defeating Oak Harbor 7-0 Monday, April 23, on the Wildcats’ courts.

The Panthers are now 10-0 for the season, 6-0 in Wesco North play. Oak Harbor is 3-8 overall and 2-5 in league matches.

The Wildcats go to Stanwood (7-1, 9-3) at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 25.

Singles: 1, Maddie McKenzie lost 6-2, 6-0; 2, Emma Wezeman lost 6-2, 6-2; 3, MJ Timm lost 7-5, 6-3; 4, Taliah Black lost 6-2, 6-1.

Doubles: 1, Emily Gouge/Sierra Brackeen lost 6-2, 6-0; 2, Johanna Schmidt/Elaine Aguirre lost 6-2, 7-6(4); 3, Annie Salinger/Silvia Braghin lost 6-0, 6-2.
