Despite a solid pitching performance by Matt Hilborn and Cody Roberts, the Coupeville High School baseball team lost 5-0 to King’s Monday, April 1, at Shorewood High School.

Hilborn and Roberts surrendered five hits and five walks while striking out nine but received little support from the Coupeville offense.

The Wolves mustered only one hit — a single by Ulrik Wells — off Knights’ ace Tyler Durbin, who struck out 14.

Coupeville (0-4, 0-8) and King’s (2-2, 3-6) play again twice this week: 4 p.m. Wednesday, April 3, in Coupeville and 6 p.m. Friday, April 5, at Shorewood.
