Fall prep preview / Oak Harbor tennis

Coach: Tino Gutierrez.

2018: 8-4; 3-3, fourth in conference.

Returning lettermen: Nick Krantz (first-team, all-conference singles in 2018), Ezra Franklin (first-team doubles), Micah Franklin (first-team doubles), Lawrence Javelo, Elsian Atienza, Kyle Brown, Yuji Caballero, Ethan Snell, Samuel Peek, Ridgely Briddell.

Key newcomers: junior Jerome Dones; sophomores Isaac Brady, Ben Servatius.

Coach’s comments: “My expectation for this year is for my single players to play smart and aggressive and maintain a high level of concentration. As for my doubles players, I would expect communication, keep to the game plan, attack, attack and attack.

“I hope as a team to finish in the top four.”

Strength: Singles play.

Weakness: Lack of varsity experience among doubles teams.

First match: Marysville Getchell at Oak Harbor, 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12.
