Falcons collect rivalry win / Soccer

South Whidbey won round one of this spring’s soccer rivalry between island schools, defeating Coupeville 5-0 Friday, March 29, in Langley.

The Falcons (3-0, 6-1), spurred by a hat-trick from Michael Lux, remained unbeaten in North Sound Conference play. Coupeville is now even in league action (2-2) and overall (4-4).

The Wolves play a non-conference match at Forks (3-2) at 3:30 p.m. Monday, April 1, and then are off until they travel to King’s (3-09, 4-1-1) for a 7 p.m. match Friday, April 12.
