Coupeville returns to courts for 7-0 win / Tennis

Not only did the Coupeville High School tennis team finally get to play a match, it showed little sign of rust with a 7-0 win over visiting Friday Harbor Monday, April 24.

The Wolves have suffered through a half dozen rainouts this spring and had not played since April 13.

Coupeville (1-0, 3-3) hopes to play again when it hosts Chimacum (0-2, 0-5) in a conference match at 3:15 p.m. Tuesday, April 25.

Singles: 1, Valen Trujillo won 6-0, 6-0; 2, Fanny Deprelle won 6-0, 6-0; 3, Bree Daigneault won 6-0, 6-1.

Doubles: 1, Payton Aparicio/Sage Renninger won 6-4, 6-3; 2, Zoe Trujillo/Avalon Renninger won 6-3, 6-2; 3, Maggie Crimmins/Kameryn St. Onge won 6-1, 6-4; 4, Tia Wurzrainer/Claire Mietus won 5-7, 6-3, 6-4.
