Coupeville High School graduate Nick Streubel was a unanimous first-team, all-league selection for the Central Washington University football team this fall.

Streubel, the starting left guard, helped lead Central to the Great Northwest Athletic Conference championship, an 11-0 record and a No. 1 regional seed in the NCAA Division II playoffs.

Streubel was one of 21 Wildcats to earn league honors, and Ian Shoemaker received the Coach of the Year award.

By earning the top seed, Central received a bye in the first round of the playoffs. The Wildcats will host the winner of Winona State and Texas A&M Commerce Saturday, Nov. 25.
