Coupeville falls to Falcons / Tennis

The South Whidbey High School tennis team defeated Coupeville in the latest rivalry match, tripping up the host Wolves 4-1 Thursday, Sept. 21.

Mason Grove and Nick Etzell captured second doubles 6-1, 6-1 for the Wolves’ point.

Coupeville (1-4) entertains Overlake at 3:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 22.

Coupeville’s match at North Mason for Monday, Sept. 25, has been cancelled.

Coupeville results versus South Whidbey

Singles: 1, Pedro Gamarra lost 6-2, 6-1; 2, Jakobi Baumann lost 6-3, 6-3.

Doubles: 1, Joey Lippo/William Nelson lost 6-3, 6-0; Mason Grove/Nick Etzell won 6-2, 6-1; 3, Nile Lockwood/Zach Ginnings lost 8-2.
