Conlisk 25th in league meet / Cross country

Junior Danny Conlisk led Coupeville at the 11-team Olympic League championship meet Thursday in Sequim.

Conlisk ran the 5,000-meter course in 18:08.67 to finish 25th overall and eighth among 1A runners out of 64 boys in the varsity race.

Senior Henry Wynn took 54th in 19:43.1, and freshman Sam Wynn was 60th in 20:19.5, a personal best.

The trio will compete in the district meet, the Westside Cross Country Classic, at 1:40 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, at the Chambers Bay Golf Course in University Place. The top 14 finishers at district qualify for the state meet.
