Chargers shutout ‘Cats / Soccer

The Marysville Getchell High School soccer team shutout Oak Harbor 3-0 Thursday, Oct. 5.

“We did a decent job of possessing the ball but couldn’t find the net,” Oak Harbor coach Mike Lonborg said.

The Chargers (4-2-1, 5-2-2) took advantage of the Wildcats’ “pushing up,” according to Lonborg, to score two late goals.

Oak Harbor (1-7, 2-10) plays second-place Stanwood (5-1-1, 6-3-1) at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 12, at Wildcat Memorial Stadium.
