Long race, short race — it didn’t matter to Shannon Buys, who won both in the Oak Harbor Yacht Club’s Sailing Fleet late spring series Thursday, May 11.

The evening, with 20-knot breezes on Oak Harbor Bay, included a four-mile race and a short sprint, and Buys captured both with narrow wins over Jim McAlpine in Lucky Jim.

Rex Dupuis in Gadzooks took third in the long race, and Rick Almberg on Slingshot was third in the sprint.
