In a battle for the league championship, the Oak Harbor AA Legion baseball team will travel to Burlington today, July 12, at 4 p.m. to meet the Sox at Burlington-Edison High School.

The contest will be the final league match for both teams. Burlington is 9-2; Oak Harbor is 8-3. If the Wildcats win, the two teams will tie for first, but Oak Harbor will get the top seed into the district tournament because it will have defeated the Sox twice. Oak Harbor won this summer's first meeting 4-3.

The district tournament starts Saturday, July 17, at the Skagit Valley Dream Field in Mount Vernon.

Oak Harbor set up today's title game by defeating the host Snohomish County Steal twice Saturday at Glacier Peak High School.

Gabe Clark tossed a one hitter with eight strikeouts and went 2-for-4 at the plate in the 8-0 first-game win.

He got offensive support from Yale Rosen, who went 3-for-4 with a double and two-run home run. Josh Evans was 2-for-4 with a double.

Rosen added another two-run home run and double in the 17-8 second game win.

Sam Wolfe finished 4-for-5 with two doubles, and Jay Stout finished 3-for-5 with two doubles.

Peter Franssen picked up the pitching win.
