Track: Coupeville's King wins district 1,600

Coupeville's Tyler King won the tri-district track championship in the 1,600 Thursday, May 20, at King's in Shoreline.

King's time of 4:15.98 was just .7 seconds off his school record and qualified him for the state meet next Thursday and Friday, May 27 and 28, at Eastern Washington University in Cheney.

King will attempt to qualify for state in the 800 and 3,200 Saturday at King's when the district meet concludes. The meet begins at 11:30 a.m.
