The Oak Harbor doubles duo of Laurin Rico and Clarissa Abadesco will play for the Wesco North championship in Arlington today, May 14, at 3 p.m.

While the Wildcat pair plays for first in doubles, two Oak Harbor teammates, Cady O'Dell and Erin Neilon, will square off in a singles battle for third and fourth place.

Regardless of the outcome of the matches, all four will advance to next week's district tournament at Jackson High School where the Wesco North and South face off.

After winning two matches Wednesday, the third-seeded Rico and Abadesco defeated Monroe's Kendra Whitfield and Gabrielle Lindquist 6-2, 6-0 in the semifinals Thursday.

O'Dell and Neilon also won twice Wednesday but dropped their semifinal matches Thursday.

No. 3 seed O'Dell lost to No. 2 seed Sarah Tuemmler 6-1, 7-5. She bounced back to win in the consolation bracket over Brooke Winslow of Monroe 6-0, 6-0.

No. 5 seed Neilon fell to No. 1 seed Megan Lalone of Stanwood 6-0, 6-0. She then won over Heather Smith of Stanwood 6-2, 6-2.
