Boys golf: Wildcats finish third

Oak Harbor's boys golf team finished third in its final three-team Wesco match Wednesday, May 5, at Cedarcrest Golf Course in Marysville.

Lake Stevens won the match with a total of 401 strokes, three better than Marysville. Oak Harbor finished with 412.

Austin Fields shot a 76 to pace the Wildcats and finished second to Kyle Gellner of Lake Stevens who led the individual standings with a 71.

Judd Ford was next for the 'Cats with a 77. Matt Fikse shot 82, Greg Martin 87 and Dan Klope 90.

Oak Harbor will compete in the Bill Egbars Memorial Tournament Friday, May 7, at 8:30 a.m. at the Skagit Golf and Country Club.

The Wesco North tournament will be Wednesday, May 12, at Everett's Legion Golf Course starting at noon.
