Tennis: Oak Harbor wins second straight

Winning its second straight match, the Oak Harbor High School girls tennis team defeated visiting Monroe 5-2 Monday, April 19.
The Wildcats (3-6) swept all four singles matches against the winless Bearcats (0-9).
In No. 1, Cady O'Dell won 6-4, 6-0; No. 2 Erin Neilon blanked her opponent 6-0, 6-0.
In third singles, Laurin Rico cruised to a 6-1, 6-1 win; and in No. 4 action, Clarissa Abadesco won 6-0, 6-1.
Oak Harbor also took third doubles as the Fremd sisters, Darcy and Jennifer, won 7-5, 4-6, 10-8.
Jordan Faralan and Kerry Rathsabanhdith dropped first doubles 1-6, 1-6; and Alexa Holmly and Shannon Neilon lost in second doubles 2-6, 2-6.
The Wildcats play at Lake Stevens Wednesday, April 21; the next home match is Monday, April 26, against Stanwood at 3:45.
