Fastpitch: Cedarcrest defeats visiting Wolves

Cedarcrest mixed 11 hits with seven Coupeville earns to defeat the visiting Wolves 13-3 in fastpitch Thursday, April 15.
Coupeville coach Denny Zylstra said his defense, for the most part, "wasn't pretty." He did praise the play of right fielder Emma Puharic, making her varsity debut. "She was always in the right place at the right time."
Grace LaPoint went 2-for-3 with a triple, run and two RBI. Megan Smith also went 2-for-3.
The Wolves (0-6, 1-6) go to first-place Granite Falls (8-0, 9-0) today, April 16. Sultan (1-6, 1-7) comes to Coupeville Monday, April 19, at 4 p.m.
