Archbishop Thomas Murphy used two big innings to bury the Coupeville fastpitch team 15-4 on the Wolves diamond Wednesday, April 14.

The Wildcats (6-1, 7-2) pounded out 11 hits and took advantage of five Coupeville errors to cruise to the win.

ATM scored seven in the second on four hits, four walks and two Coupeville errors.

The Wolves battled back with three in the second and one in the third to make it 7-4.

In the third, Maria Rockwell and Rebecca Armstrong started if off with singles. An error scored Rockwell, but Armstrong was cut down at the plate on the play. Kaya Boonstra walked and scored on Megan Smith's two-run single.

In the fourth, Alexis Trumbull tripled and scored on Roxy Piechowski's double.

A five-run sixth for ATM pushed the game out of reach.

Smith finished with two of Coupeville's eight hits.

The game was the opposite of the first meeting between the two this spring when Archbishop Murphy squeaked out a 3-2 win.

The Wolves (0-5, 1-5) go to Cedarcrest (4-3) today, April 15, for a makeup game. The next home game is against Sultan (1-6, 1-7), Monday, April 19, at 4 p.m.
