Boys golf: Ford takes medalist honors as Oak Harbor finishes second

Oak Harbor’s Judd Ford took medalist honors and the Wildcats finished second in a three-team match at the Battle Creek Golf Course Friday, April 9.
Lake Stevens won the match with a stroke total of 412. Oak Harbor edged Stanwood 458-461 for second.
Matt Fikse and Dan Klope each carded 89s for the Wildcats, followed by Greg Martin at 101 and Jim Nguyen at 102 in the 18-hole, par 73 match.
Monday, April 12, Oak Harbor takes part in the Tom Dolan Invitational at the Everett Golf and Country Club. Its next home match will be Thursday, April 22, against Everett and Stanwood at 3 p.m. at the Whidbey Golf and Country Club.
