Arlington, behind Jake Smith’s hat trick, defeated the Oak Harbor High School boys soccer team 4-0 at Wildcat Memorial Stadium Tuesday, April 6.

The Wildcats were unable to score even though they produced a season-high 13 shots on goal. Coach Brian Thompson, speaking about the offensive attack, said, “We are improving on that.”

Thompson also noted the work of goal keeper Tucker Lundstrom who “made an incredible save” in the first half.

Oak Harbor, which has been hampered by injuries all season, played without standout Marcos Anjos against Arlington (4-4); Anjos is also expected to miss Friday’s match at Stanwood (3-3).

The Wildcats (0-7) go to Monroe (2-3-2) Tuesday, then return home to face Lake Stevens (6-1) Friday, April 16, at 7:30 p.m.
