North Whidbey Aquatic Club athletes Laura Rosen, Ciara Hu, and Price Hu all qualified for the NCSA Junior National Championships meet next March in Orlando with their performances at the Northwest Region Senior Sectional Championship Swim Meet in Federal Way, March 10-14.

Rosen, 14, qualified in both the 200 fly (2:06.17) and the 400 individual medley (4:30.85), setting team records in both. Ciara Hu (15) and Price Hu (17) both qualified in the 200 fly with times of (2:06.57) and (1:54.03), respectively. Ciara’s time was also a team record.

Rosen (59.78) and Ciara Hu (58.86) also swam to team records in the 100 fly.

The NCSA meet draws the fastest 18-and-under athletes from 300 teams around the country. With Rosen and the Hus, NWAC has its largest contingent in the past seven years.

NWAC next competes at the Age Group Sectional Championships, March 19-21, in Federal Way, where it will field a team of 13 athletes.
