The Oak Harbor High School girls golf team finished tied for third out of 11 teams in the Gallery Shootout on the blustery NAS Whidbey course Tuesday, March 16.

Redmond, which took fourth in last year's state tournament, captured the team title with a stroke total of 500. Ingelmoor followed with 544, one stroke better than Oak Harbor and Marysville-Pilchuck.

Kamiak's Seo Hee Moon took medalist honors with a 76 on the par 72, 18-hole course. Moon is the defending state 4A individual champion.

Oak Harbor was led in the season opening match by Ashley Johnson with a round of 97. She was followed by Melany Cone, 102; Simone Hamilton, 107; Sasha Olson, 118; and Mara Cortez, 126.

Oak Harbor coach Andy Wesley said, "The girls played well, considering it’s the first 18-hole match of the year and it was pretty windy. I was very pleased with the results."

The Wildcats host Cascade and Monroe at the Whidbey Golf and Country Club Wednesday, March 24, at 3 p.m.
